Being "Unoffendable"
Dear Friends,
Just a word to the wise that, historically, there seems to be an increase of strife and division around this time of the year. For those in the American church, this added demonic activity may be the result of satanic Halloween rituals. It may also come from a number of other sources as well. Whatever the source, you will want to guard against conflict with others. Cover your families and churches with prayer and genuinely practice being "unoffendable."
I know we are all praying about many things, but I want to remind our American friends: during the election time there is a lot of slander and misinformation, which can cause us to react in the flesh. Remember, beloved, we are not fighting flesh and blood, but principalities and powers. Let's not allow the passion of our love to dim nor our peace crumble during this season. Instead, let us each take faith knowing God's promise, that the enemy who comes against us one way shall flee before us seven ways (see Deut 28:7).
Thank you,

I jumped at this concept of overcoming negative behaviour. A theological friend found "being unoffendable" a non-scriptual doctrine! He says that God is offended by our sins which is why he judges sins. I can't argue with that. Perhaps we are back to argueing over the meanings and misuses of words?
God judges us on this earth for our sins. If we have accepted Jesus as our Savior and believe that he is God's son, then our spot in Heaven is bought. However, when we die, we will not be judged according to our sin, but according to our works.(1 Corinthians 3:11-15) We need to stop being so self righteous and start being true disciples of Christ. Get involved in your local church. Ask questions. The Holy Spirit will give us discernment of things such as false prophets, false teachers, and evil spirits. We are to test the spirits. We are told from the bible to speak up when we discern these things with our fellow body. Just because someone has a lot of money, doesn't make them more holy or Godly. We need to get our heads out of the selfish media on TV and into our local bodies of Christ where you can find Him. God is all over, however, it says we are to belong to a body.(Heb 10:25; Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 12:12,14-23,27) I'm sick of seeing people decieved off the television with all of these false teachers trying to get a bigger wallet.(Micah 3:9-12; Jeremiah 6:13-15; Ezekiel 22:25-28) They will manipulate you to feel that it is either their way or no way. You follow them or you are an abomination. That isn't what Christ left us to follow. Christ warned us about many false teachers and false prophets in the end of times. Brothers, we are in the end of times. Do pray and make sure that everything you hear can be found in the bible.
Two words I leave for you to look up and learn discernment over and they are Exegesis and Eisegesis.
Pray that the Lord give you true insight to what you are hearing be taught from the bible that it is not twisted and manipulated into a what someone wants it to say. Jesus gives us permission to test the spirits.(1 John 4:1; 2 Corinthians 11:14-15; John 8:44) It is not wrong for us to do this. If one gets offended that you ask, you should discern something wrong there. A true teacher will sit down with you and teach you. They will not condemn you or turn you away or manipulate you. There is too much of this going on but it was prophesied that this was to take place in the end of times. For many will be decieved.Don't take others words for it. Check what you are hearing against God's Word and you will hear from God. Don't expect others to read the Bible for you or you will be deceived.
The rapture is coming soon and we all need to be ready. For it is written that Jesus' return will be when we least expect it. He will come like a thief in the night.(Rev. 16:15) The concept is for us to always be ready because we do not know the time he will return.
If someone wants to twist the scripture, let him and then you discern what is right.
Amen
One shouldn't get mad if there are questions or disagreements but be disciples amongst yourselves and consult one another in the name of Jesus and test what it is you have questions about from the Bible. King James Version - original transcript
